What we do

Fieldwork is a B2B agency that develops and manages white-label travel programs. Working primarily with media brands, we help our partners diversify revenue while deepening engagement with their audiences. Our end-to-end services include strategy, product development, marketing, merchandising, sales, customer service, and operations—all delivered under our client’s brand. In short, we make it possible for people to share real-world travel experiences with their favorite brands.

Who we are

Mike Parker

For the past 20 years, Mike has worked at the intersection of travel, media, and tech. He has launched and managed partnerships with The New York Times, Tastemade, Airbnb, National Geographic, Intrepid Travel, and many others. Most recently, in collaboration with co-founder Tao Tao Holmes, he built and managed Atlas Obscura Adventures—resulting in a $20M Series B led by Airbnb within three years of the program’s launch. Prior to Atlas Obscura, Mike led GeoEx’s affinity travel division as Managing Director, and served as Associate Editor of Agenda, the magazine and content-marketing arm of Tablet Hotels.

A trip he wants to design: A road trip across the American West centered on large-scale, site-specific artworks in the middle of nowhere, culminating in a pilgrimage to James Turrel’s Roden Crater.

Tao Tao Holmes

A design strategist, writer, artist, and travel planner extraordinaire, Tao Tao Holmes is the former Director of Trip Design & Operations at Atlas Obscura. In addition to launching Atlas Obscura’s travel program, she designed and oversaw the operation of hundreds of trips around the world. She has partnered with media brands including The New York Times and Tastemade, working closely with writers, artists, and chefs to develop immersive travel experiences. Tao Tao is also the co-founder of Lunch Special, a creative studio specializing in brand identity and content design for start-ups, non-profits, and small businesses.
